First-Ever Walkathon for Palestine - September 14, 2003
Despite a slight delay, on Sunday September 14th, AWARE (The Alliance for
World Awareness of Rights and Equality - www.awaremovement.org), will host
the First Annual Walkathon for Palestine in an effort to raise much needed
funds for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (http://pcrf.net).

NAAP-NY is thrilled and honored to sponsor this ground-breaking initiative,
and we urge you all to take part in this event to help Palestinian children
who are in desperate need of medical care. We are hoping to have a sizable
NAAP-NY contingent walk together, so we hope to see you there!
The Walkathon will begin promptly at noon on Sunday September 14th followed
by a BBQ. See below for more details:

Time: Noon - 6PM
Where: Warinanco Park- Elizabeth, NJ*
Distance of walk: 3 Miles
Donation per walker: minimum $20.00
*Note: Roundtrip transportation from NYC to Dunker Hook Park in NJ will be
made available. So, NYers you have no excuses! (More info to follow shortly)
HOW TO REGISTER TO WALK!
A quick and simple registration form is now available online for those who
are interested in participating in the 3-mile walk. This form must be
completed and returned in order to participate in the walk. Each registrant
will receive an arm band at the registration table the day of event.
