What are NAAP-NY Committees? Back to Top
To ensure the continued growth and strength of NAAP-NY, it is imperative that the talents and energies of all our members are leveraged to help develop and execute NAAP programs and events. These initiatives are organized within multiple NAAP-NY Committees; each with specific goals and objectives.
Much of the project planning and discussions are carried out in the following two Committee forums:
Committee email discussion - Each Committee has an email discussion group (listserv) for the purpose of proposing projects and planning the details of NAAP-NY events.
Committee meetings - This is the opportunity to discuss prior, present or future events and is the forum where most of NAAP-NY's decisions are made.
If you are interested in taking a more active role in the planning of NAAP-NY events, the first step is to join a Committee email discussion group (listserv) and let your opinions and ideas be known.
How to join a Committee Back to Top
Any member of NAAP-NY is welcome to join one or more Committees. Each Committee has a volunteer facilitator. The facilitator is responsible for ensuring that the Committee remains active and keep other committees and all members informed of their planned activities.
To join a specific Committee, send a blank email to the appropriate Committee (see below). You will receive a request confirmation from Yahoogroups. Once you reply to this confirmation email, an email will be automatically be sent to the Committee facilitator to add you to the Committee listserv.
Please note, to be added to a Committee email discussion group, you must have completed the NAAP online membership form. Please visit www.naaponline.org/membership to access the form.
If you have any specific questions or ideas feel free to email one of the Committee Facilitators listed below.
