General Meeting & Member Orientation! 10/14/08 7pm

Hello NAAP-NY!

Join us on October 14 for the NAAP-NY Member Orientation and General Meeting! New to NAAP-NY? Or have been around for a while and just trying to figure out how to get involved? Not sure about the goals and principals of NAAP? This will be an informal gathering to introduce and familiarize you with the organization's mission, process, goals and future initiatives. Everyone is welcome!

Part of the evening will serve as a General Meeting where we typically review ongoing committee initiatives, discuss cross-committee collaboration and where YOUR concerns, ideas and goals can be heard. We will be reviewing our goals and plans for the rest of 2008 and 2009 so your input and involvement is needed!

Location: Cafe Metro 14 East 42nd Street between 5th and Madison. (DOWNSTAIRS)

Our Mission: NAAP's mission includes the following objectives:

Promote professional networking and social interaction among Arab-American and Arab professionals in the US and abroad
Educate both the Arab-American and non-Arab communities about Arab culture, identity, and concerns
Advance the Arab American community by empowering, protecting and promoting its political causes and interests in the US and abroad within all levels of society
Support the Arab student movement in the United States
Serve society through volunteerism and community service efforts
