Seeking to Serve as Mentors
Are you interested in giving back to your community? How about influencing
young Arab Americans during their college years?
Well, NAAP-Boston is now providing the perfect opportunity to do so with
its new internship & mentorship program for college students who are interested
in gaining real world experience. We are now looking for mentors who are
willing to dedicate a portion of their time to mentor young students.
Do you have professional experience that you are willing to share and great
people skills? Then you may be qualified to be a mentor! Mentors come
from a variety of different backgrounds. Your duties as a mentor will
be to listen and advise your mentee as necessary. How often you
meet with your mentee and what you discuss will be completely up to the both
of you. NAAP-Boston will provide you with limited training on being a
mentor.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor, simply
click here and fill out a profile. Once we have a mentee that
matches your profile, we will notify you and you can contact the mentee directly.
All questions can be directed to internships-boston@naaponline.org.
For Companies
or Professionals Seeking Interns
The Network of Arab-American Professionals, Boston chapter (NAAP-Boston)
would like to offer your company the opportunity to participate in its exciting
new internship program. Recent studies have shown that, in general, Arab-Americans
are better educated than the average American. A greater percentage attends
college, and those who earn master's degrees or higher do so at twice the national
average. These students can be valuable assets to your internship program and
excellent potential employees.
This program has been designed to make connecting young Arab-American students
with internships extremely easy. Simply
fill out this form Internship Application with information about your internship.
NAAP-Boston will then notify its student members of your internship and have
them apply directly to you.
If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact internships-boston@naaponline.org
