LOOK, WE'RE ON TV! As you know, NAAP was selected by ART Satellite Station to host a weekly television show, entitled "ART Downstair's Cafe." ART's goal is to link Arab communities to their homeland with programming in their own language and is committed to delivering a cultural message to Arab-Americans. The first show aired on the ART Channel (satellite) in the summer of 2004 and re-runs continue to be shown based on the show's success; see schedule below.
The first show aired on the ART Channel (satellite) on Saturday, August 7th 2005 at 7pm!
The show is taped in Washington, DC, and highlights NAAP events organized by the different chapters, discussions on issues affecting the Arab community, as well as the important work of other Arab-American organizations. Tapings typically occur on Saturdays in DC. If you are interested in participating or being an audience member, please contact Sarah at Sarah@naaponline.org or your local NAAP chapter for further information.
