First Annual National Arab-American Service Day!
Save the date!...The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) has designated September 24th as the First Annual National Arab-American Service Day!
All NAAP chapters are working on projects for this exciting initiative. Here in NY, we have partnered with the Arab-American Association of New York (AAA-NY) to establish multiple projects for this important day. Projects include volunteering at:
1. the Crossroads Food Pantry in Manhattan
2. a Blood Drive in Brooklyn
3. a NY Hospital in Queens (arts & crafts with children)
4. the Ronald McDonald House in Manhattan
We are also setting up Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts drop boxes in Manhattan and Brooklyn to collect much needed aid.
Have you ever thought, “How can I give back to my community?” or “How can I make a difference in someone’s life?” You can by volunteering your time on September 24th. This day will demonstrate the commitment of the Arab-American community to the broader community, as well as provide an extremely rewarding experience for everyone involved.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tania Ghanem at: calamelnas@yahoo.com. Also, please indicate any volunteer preferences in your email; only a select number of people are allowed to volunteer at some of these locations.
Thank you,
The Network of Arab-American Professionals of New York
