From the Frontline: Gaza & Lebanon! 11/30

Hello NAAP-NY,

Please join on us on November 30th at 7pm as we proudly host two journalists who will share with us their experiences covering war in Palestine and Lebanon.

"Words are my weapon against injustice, hate, starvation and oppression." At 22, Mohammed Omer is the youngest journalist working in Gaza. Due to difficulties getting in and out of Gaza, many international news outlets rely on Mohammed for reporting. Mohammed will not only share the on-the-ground story with us, but he will also share video footage, providing us with a rare glimpse into life in the besieged Gaza Strip.

We will also be joined by NY Daily News Reporter Tamer El-Ghobashy, who was sent to Lebanon to cover the war for the NY Daily News in July/August 2006. Tamer will share a first-hand account of life during the war and what it was like covering a war for a major NYC newspaper.
