While Iftar season is in full swing in Houston and the across the network for the #NightOfGiving, and Algeria made us proud in the World Cup 2014, our prayers and hearts are with murder & abuse in Palestine. Arab-American Tarek Abu Khdeir, aged 15, on vacation in Palestine was brutally beaten unconscious by Israeli agents in the yard of his Uncle's home and our network mobilized to demand he be released.

A busy week across the Network! We started the week by celebrating Father’s Day. We also paid homage to the passing of Kemal “Casey” Kasem we all remember as the host of the notable American Top 40. RIP. On World Refugee Day our thoughts were with Syria, Iraq, Palestine & beyond. In DC we hosted a Summer Networker, in New York City we held our 12th annual #ArabStreetFestival and in the San Francisco Bay Area we welcomed summer with a BBQ. And as the 2014 World Cup continues, we continued to cheer for #LesFennecs of Algeria!

This week in the San Francisco Bay Area we partnered up for the TechWadi Annual Forum - MIT Enterprise Forum Global Track, celebrating a rising tide of entrepreneurship in the Middle East and highlighted the most impressive MENA entrepreneurs from all over the world.
