“I wanted put a light on the fact that this Arab writer, wrote a book that has moved profoundly people from all religions, all creeds and many different generations.”

NAAP was invited to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet an animated film produced by actress Salma Hayek Pinault. Before the premier, NAAP-LA Board Member Maha Awad had the opportunity to sit with Salma for an interview. Check out the video below!

This is a wonderful project. Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran is often marginalized because he is not a polarizing figure. Thanks, Ms. Hayak...good job, Ms. Awad!
