BACKGROUND

Who created this program and why?
The Arabic Language Immersion Program was developed by the Network of Arab-American Professionals (NAAP), a nonprofit organization with chapters in many US cities. The program was created to cater to the rising demand for quality Arabic language training in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Can I earn college credits for these courses?
No, the courses are not accredited.

What can I expect to learn?
You will develop a strong foundation in Modern Standard Arabic that will enable you to conduct basic conversations in the Arabic language. You will also be introduced to the written form of the language.

How many students are in the class?
Each class will be limited to a maximum of 18 students.

TUITION

How much is tuition? Are there any other related fees?
Tuition is $250.00 per semester. Each semester consists of 12 classes, including 9 lectures and 3 language immersion sessions. The immersion sessions will be held at local Arabic restaurants and cafes. Dinner and beverages are not included in tuition, but can be purchased at modest prices (e.g. $12). All lecture materials (notes) except books are included in the tuition. Books can be purchased for an additional $50.

Do you offer a refund in the event I cannot continue with the course?
A refund of $100.00 will be issued to any student who drops the course after the first class. A refund of $50.00 will be issued to any student who drops the course after the second class. No refunds will be issued after the third class.
