B. Objective, if used, contains:

Position/job
Level
Functional area
Greatest strengths
Intended contributions


C. Background Summary / Qualifications:

Brief narrative summary (3-4 sentences) OR Short
      narrative and bullet statements
Tells why you can do what you say you want to do in
      your objectives
Emphasizes knowledge, skills ad qualifications


D. Do the Accomplishment statements

Include figures to quantify results?
Demonstrate impact to the bottom line?
Clearly demonstrate problems you have solved?
Lead the reader to the conclusions you want him/her to
      draw about you?
Tell about awards you received?
Tell about programs you designed and their effect on
      productivity/effectiveness? Efficiency?
Tell about machines you have designed or fixed?
Tell about languages you have programmed?
Tell about processes/procedures you have
      implemented?
Tell about change you have facilitated?


E. Professional Experience - information is complete and includes:

Job title
Company name
Company location
Years of employment (whole yrs.)
Description of the job -- emphasize strengths stated in
      current objective
Experience stated in resverse chronological order - last
      job first, first job last


F. Education background is:

Stated simply
Degree
Subject
University or College
Dates
High School / GED
Training, certificates that support objective


G. Personal Interests, Memberships / Affiliations (optional)

Memberships, relative to objective
Special language skills, related to objective

H. Written Content:

The writing is clear and brief
Words are simple
Statements are concise and have "punch"
Statements support the objective
Accomplishments are relevant to the objective
Statements are specific, not general and vague
No use of "I" statements
Active verbs, action focused, not passive
Focused on results
Correct spelling
Consistent use of verbs tense
Correct grammar
