ART: 2008 "COLORS FROM PALESTINE" CALENDAR NOW AVAILABLE

The 2008 "Colors from Palestine" Calendar is dedicated to the memory Naji Al-Ali, and features some of his well known cartoons; Naji is perhaps best known as the creator of the character Handala, who is depicted as a ten-year old refugee boy.

The calendar focuses on the work of Naji Al-Ali to shed some light on the plight of the Palestinian people and to mark the 60th anniversary for the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe).

The proceeds from the sales will be used build a memorial for the 60th anniversary for the Palestinian Nakba in Toronto Canada. The memorial will be designed and crafted by the Palestinian artist Ahmad Canaan.
