Organization
NAAP-Baltimore functions through the work of various
committees, each of which is tasked with specific and well-defined
objectives that are in agreement with NAAP's overall mission statement.
Any member of NAAP-Baltimore is welcome to join one or more committees.
Each committee has a volunteer chairperson. The chairperson is responsible
for ensuring that the committee remains active and updating other
committees and all members of upcoming activities.
The general meeting is the forum by which NAAP-Baltimore decisions
are made and where YOUR concerns, ideas, and goals will be heard.
Ideas for NAAP-Baltimore initiatives are discussed and voted on
at the general meeting, typically held once a month on Sunday evenings
at a local restaurant. All members of NAAP-Baltimore are encouraged
to attend the general meeting to become more involved with the planning
of the organization's activities. We need as much input as possible
to make these events happen for our community.
The committees have been established to ensure that all projects
are completed, however, NAAP is the power of a collective vision.
Join the Membership Committee, Student Support
& Communications Committee, Community Outreach Committee,Political
Action Committee, or Social/Culture Committee. Focus on one
committee, focus on all five, or start your own committee. The intention
of NAAP is to serve as an umbrella under which a body of individuals
with diverse educational and professional backgrounds and experiences
can organize their resources and take the initiative to shape the
future.
